![]() While Crusader Kings 3 is extremely detailed and complex, there is nowhere near this number of cultures in the game. Other Ways To Change Culture In Crusader Kings 3Īcross the globe, there are thousands upon thousands of different cultures that are composed of individuals with regionally appreciated values, opinions, and ways of life.CK3 could be an incredibly good game if they'd just fix these issues instead of spending a year making a 3d room you barely ever look at. That you can give a second heir the entirety of a kingdom for themselves and then they still want some county in the middle of my primary's de jure territory that no amount of throwing other shit at them fixes sucks.ĬK3 has so many significant flaws that CK2 didn't because CK2 didn't have those mechanics. They really need the ability to negotiate a succession contract, like happened historically, and allow me to designate which heir receives what with the issue of civil war breaking out if the contract isn't accepted on monarch death. It's still the case that the primary form of difficulty in 90% of the game is succession. Yes, adding elective succession onto your primary titles helps with dealing with succession as does simply imprisoning and executing your other potential heirs. Which just kinda ruins the roleplaying aspect.Īs someone with 1323 hours in CK2, and most of the achievements done in CK3 I generally know how to play the game. The fundamental issue is that this game wants to be more of an RPG -which is great- yet unless you play a very specific way you just straightup get significantly less game. Focusing on prosperity? I mean, I guess you can passively watch a number go up really slowly so it's got that watching paint dry appeal. Investing in research? No, we have this shitty culture head mechanic now so you don't get to unless you turn yourself into a foreigner. Building stuff? You get like three building slots per holding, and you'll have those filled out in no time if they aren't already. Get that prosperity up, get those buildings built, invest in that technology. In CK2 that means that it's time for some real domain investments. Like imagine being a Duke in France with a bunch of traits that indicate a kind, loyal and peaceful ruler. ![]() Idk, I still have some major mechanical gripes that this seems to double down on.
